This
legendary house was originally designed by Norman Eaton for
world-famous South African Artist Walter Battiss in
1939. Rescued from being demolished, Battiss House was
lovingly renovated in 1986. The gleaming wooden floor
and rounded windows (from Pretoria Boys High School) the
Battiss murials on walls and bathroom floor have been kept
intact. Since 1989, Battiss Guest House has been owned
and managed by Ray Zeederberg and her friendly staff.
Long or short stays are welcomed, and the house provides an
ideal environment for work or socialise in a comfortable,
homely atmosphere. It is just 2km from the N1 national
highway to Johannesburg International Airport which is only +/- 45
kms. There is also very easy access to the N4 which
leads to the Kruger National Park.
